Hello and welcome!

Thank you for your interest in our family-owned and operated venue!

Our venue's journey stands apart from the traditional narratives of others in the area, as it wasn't originally intended for weddings and events. The barn, a versatile space with a rich history of storing grain, housing hogs, and functioning as an essential part of our family farm, underwent a remarkable transformation.

In 2015, our founder, Sarah Morris Adair, faced the challenge of finding a local venue for her wedding but found none that resonated with her vision. While working on the farm, Sarah came across the barn and saw the potential to turn it into her dream venue—and so she did! The journey involved our family's tireless efforts to clean and renovate the facility to accommodate Sarah's wedding.

What started as a personal endeavor took an unexpected turn when locals expressed a desire to use the venue for their events.

Since its inception in 2015, The Chapel has undergone several enhancements, including the addition of a kitchen, bridal suite, groom's suite, and a new arbor. Sarah poured countless hours into refining the venue she envisioned, delighting in helping families turn The Chapel into their dream wedding space. Tragically, when Sarah passed away in May 2021, her mom and sister were determined not to let The Chapel's legacy fade away.

Today, The Chapel at Cowpen Creek continues to thrive, surrounded by the picturesque backdrop of a working cattle farm, a testament to the enduring spirit of love and celebration that Sarah instilled in its very foundation.
